This article analyzes Ngadu Bedug as a form of Islamic Cultural Civic Pedagogy that contributes to strengthening social cohesion in Pandeglang society. The study is based on the view that local traditions are not merely aesthetic expressions but also social learning spaces in which citizens learn to participate, share roles, maintain ethical conduct, and develop a sense of belonging to their community. The research employed a qualitative approach with a cultural ethnographic orientation. The data were derived from a preliminary research report, documentary review, relevant literature, and structured interviews with seven informants consisting of a cultural figure/studio manager, a bedug art trainer, a religious figure, a young bedug player, a community member, an event committee member, and a local government representative. The data were analyzed thematically by examining bedug tradition practices, Islamic values embedded in the tradition, and forms of social connectedness produced through cultural participation. The findings show that Ngadu Bedug embodies Islamic values such as ukhuwah, gratitude, mutual assistance, deliberation, adab, trustworthiness, justice, and public benefit. These values operate through habituation, exemplary practice, participation, role distribution, and intergenerational transmission. As an Islamic culture-based civic pedagogy, Ngadu Bedug strengthens social cohesion through solidarity, social trust, cross-role cooperation, a sense of ownership toward tradition, and the collective identity of Pandeglang society.
