PENGARUH MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV SDN 1 KOMPA

This study aimed to examine the effect of audiovisual media on elementary school students' learning motivation. The study was motivated by the low level of students' learning motivation during classroom instruction, highlighting the need for instructional media that can enhance students' interest and engagement in the learning process. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 18 fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The validity test indicated that all questionnaire items were valid, with the calculated correlation coefficients exceeding the critical correlation value. The reliability test yielded a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.863, indicating that the instrument was reliable. The normality test, conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, produced a significance value of 0.200 (> 0.05), indicating that the data were normally distributed. The findings revealed that the mean score of students' learning motivation increased from 49.61 before the implementation of audiovisual media to 75.44 after its implementation. Furthermore, the paired-samples t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of audiovisual media has a significant positive effect on elementary school students' learning motivation. The findings suggest that audiovisual media can serve as an effective instructional medium for enhancing students' learning motivation.
