This study aims to find out the effect of burnout and work stress on teachers' work ethic at UPTD Elementary Schools in Naikoten 1 Village, Kupang City, both partially and simultaneously. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 88 teachers through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected via a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The results showed that partially, burnout does not have a significant effect on teachers' work ethic (sig. = 0.059 > 0.05), while work stress has a negative and significant effect (sig. = 0.024 < 0.05). Simultaneously, burnout and work stress have a significant effect on teachers' work ethic (F = 5.007; sig. = 0.009 < 0.05) with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.105. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on the simultaneous interaction of burnout and work stress on teacher work ethic within a local elementary-school context in Eastern Indonesia, a setting rarely explored in prior educational human-resource-management research, and identifies discipline and responsibility as the most vulnerable dimension requiring targeted intervention.
