ANALISIS FAKTOR KESIAPAN SISWA KELAS XI SMA N 5 KOTA JAMBI DALAM MENGHADAPI PERUBAHAN KURIKULUM

This study aims to identify the factors that shape the readiness of Grade XI students who choose Economics at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi in facing curriculum changes and determine the most dominant factor.This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach involving 125 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) with IBM SPSS Statistics 26.The findings indicate that academic workload and family environment did not meet the PCA requirements and were excluded from the model. Four variables, namely self-efficacy, school environment, learning motivation, and teacher support, formed one principal component named the Learning Adaptation Factor in Facing Curriculum Change, explaining 70.962% of the total variance (eigenvalue = 2.838). Self-efficacy showed the highest factor loading (0.883), indicating that it contributed the most to students' readiness. Unlike previous studies that generally measured readiness levels or examined individual variables, this study identifies the underlying factor structure of student readiness using PCA and proposes the Learning Adaptation Factor in Facing Curriculum Change as the main construct explaining students readiness for curriculum change.
