This study analyzes the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) and the mechanisms through which it contributes to elementary education quality. A qualitative case-study design was employed at SDN 1 Bagik Payung Timur, Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency. Informants were selected purposively and included the principal, teachers, the school committee, and parent representatives. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and document analysis and were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Credibility was strengthened through source and method triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that SBM was supported by participatory planning, curriculum-management flexibility, teacher professional development and academic supervision, transparent facilities and financial management, partnerships with the school committee and parents, and periodic program evaluation. Observed changes included stronger stakeholder collaboration, improved student discipline and attendance, increased academic and non-academic achievements, and greater parental participation. However, digital learning use, literacy programs, sustained teacher development, and resource adequacy still require improvement. The study contributes a Quality-Oriented SBM Cycle integrating autonomy, participation, professional capacity, and accountability. As the study is based on a single case without a comparison group, the findings should be interpreted contextually rather than causally.
