A well-organized office layout enhances comfort, facilitates communication, and creates a conducive working environment, thereby improving teacher performance. However, empirical studies examining the influence of office layout on teacher performance in secondary schools remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of office layout on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 8 Takalar. A quantitative approach with an ex post facto research design was employed. The study involved 40 teachers, all of whom were selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings revealed that the office layout was categorized as moderately good, while teacher performance was categorized as good. The regression analysis indicated that office layout had a positive and statistically significant effect on teacher performance (β = 0.528, t = 4.306, p < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.328. These findings demonstrate that an effective office layout contributes to improved teacher performance by creating a more comfortable, efficient, and collaborative working environment. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the role of office layout as a strategic element of educational management and highlights its importance in enhancing teacher performance and improving the quality of educational services.
