PROFIL DAN TANTANGAN GURU DI ERA ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: RELEVANSI PEMIKIRAN KI HAJAR DEWANTARA

Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers significant opportunities to enhance educational effectiveness, personalization, and innovation in twenty-first-century learning. Nevertheless, the rapid integration of AI has generated new challenges for teachers, including limited AI literacy, difficulties in pedagogical integration, ethical concerns, and shifts in professional identity that may weaken the humanistic dimension of education. This study aims to examine the profile of teachers required in the AI era, identify the professional challenges they face, and reconstruct Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational thought as a conceptual framework for addressing contemporary educational transformation. A narrative review approach was employed by analyzing 35 scholarly articles and two seminal works of Ki Hajar Dewantara published between 2020 and 2026. Data were analyzed through data condensation, thematic categorization, comparative synthesis, and conceptual interpretation. The findings reveal that teachers in the AI era require digital competence, AI literacy, critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, and ethical awareness. Major challenges include technological competence, pedagogical integration, professionalism, digital ethics, and infrastructural disparities. This inquiry proposes the conceptual model of the Adaptive Humanistic Teacher in the Artificial Intelligence Era, integrating the principles of teacher as a guide, the Among System, the educational leadership trilogy, and the concept of independent human beings.
