PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN EKSPOSITORI TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI DI SMP IT AZ-ZAHRA SRAGEN

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of expository learning strategy on academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP IT Az-Zahra Sragen during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive-correlational design. Data were collected from 125 participants selected through simple random sampling. Research instruments consisted of a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess the implementation of the expository learning strategy and documentation of final exam scores to measure academic achievement in PAI. Descriptive statistical analysis showed that both the implementation of the expository learning strategy and academic achievement in PAI were classified as moderate, indicating potential for improvement. The Spearman’s Rho correlation test yielded a significance value of 0.330 (> 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.088, indicating no significant influence of expository learning strategy on academic achievement in PAI. These findings may be influenced by various factors from both teachers and students, including motivation, learning styles, discipline, and the level of support from the surrounding environment.
