This study aimed to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes through the cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) assisted by a snakes and ladders game in Pancasila Education learning. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 18 third-grade students of SD Islam Sultan Agung 1. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an improvement in students’ cognitive learning outcomes. The average pretest score was 69.44, with a classical mastery percentage of 44.44%. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 74.17, with a mastery percentage of 66.67%, while in Cycle II, it increased to 81.94, with a mastery percentage of 77.78%. These results indicate that the implementation of the STAD learning model assisted by the snakes and ladders game can improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes on the topic of the symbols and meanings of the Pancasila principles. Therefore, the action was considered successful in Cycle II.
